cocoa beach coronavirus

Floridians flocked to Cocoa Beach on Thursday after it reopened for sunbathing, sitting in chairs, and other social activities — as beach rules were relaxed following restrictions that were implemented on April 2, amid the coronavirus pandemic.

Families were seen carrying backpacks, beach towels, and coolers, while friends laid on blankets on the sand to soak up the sun.

Cocoa Beach’s executive order specifies that beachgoers must practice social distancing of at least 6 feet in all directions and keep groups to a number of five or less.
