Welcome to the 2017 Footprints in the Sand Kidney Walk
The positive energy of thousands of people at the Kidney Walk is invigorating.
That’s because the Kidney Walk is not about kidney disease. It’s about people with kidney disease coming together, united in one cause: to celebrate life and each other.
Kidney Walk is the nation’s largest event to raise awareness of kidney disease and raise funds to support lifesaving programs for patients, their families, and those at risk.
Because funding builds the future, it helps build a world where kidney disease is caught "early” and treated before it causes significant damage. It builds a world where people don’t have to get a dialysis treatment to stay alive. It builds a world with no wait list for people seeking a kidney.
Be a part of a community of 85,000 individuals at more than 100 Kidney Walks who share a determination to end kidney disease.
C’mon! Join us.
MAKING YOUR FOOT PRINTS IS MAKING A DIFFERENCE..
The 6th Annual NKFF Cocoa Beach Foot Prints in the Sand Kidney was made possible by organ donation. Its founders, chairs and organizers, Rich Salick, Billy Hahn and Jamii Martin are all kidney recipients have been blessed with a second chance at life. Recipient's saluting the angels who made it possible.
As recipient's we know we would not be here without organ donation that's why we salute our donors with our Donor Dinner the night before the walk. We know the trials of dialysis first hand that's why we recognize our patients with our You Are Not Alone award. We have felt the hopeless feeling of waiting for a life saving organ transplant that's why we have our Sand Castles of Hope contest. We walk on a beach of life and eternal life patient, donor and recipient bonded together by the circle of life. Register today ! Join a team our start your own ! Be a part of our celebration of life !
