Cocoa breakfast raises money for youth programs

For the last three years Ralph Perrone of Perrone Properties has held a breakfast for the Cocoa police chief and this year's event — Friday morning at the Cocoa Civic Center — drew about 130 people, including some top Brevard County officials.

Not only was Police Chief Mike Cantaloupe there but also attending was Cocoa Mayor Henry Parrish, Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey, Brevard County Property Appraiser Dana Blickley, and State Attorney Phil Archer.

"It's a way to give back to the community," said Perrone, who also serves as a volunteer Cocoa police officer.
